"Where the Rubber Meets the Road" vs. "Puzzle Perfect"

My project started out being called "Where the Rubber Meets the Road." I was going to name it that, because I thought this was the point in my life when I was going to make the big decisions, and start to get serious about the direction my life was going. After finishing my interviews, however, I realize that it's not just this specific point in time that I am able to choose where I want to go, and what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Everyday I make decisions that influence my future. How I choose to spend my time, greatly shapes the person that I will become. The people that I choose to hang out with, encourage me to go into certain career fields. My interests change as I learn new things through books and experiences.
My life is like a giant puzzle, to which I am slowly acquiring the pieces . I try my best to fit the current pieces together, but sometimes there is a piece that doesn't seem to have a place. For pieces like that, I have to make I decision; do I want to get rid of it, or do I want to wait and see if more pieces come along that complement it?
As I look back on my life today, I can see how pieces have fallen into place, to get me where I am now. In twenty years I will be able to recognize the influence that my present decisions have had on my future.
