Roadtripper:

Cameron Cobb

Purpose:

People are constantly on the move. Through this project i want to achieve a few personal goals. I want to clearly see a few paths successful businessmen took in their lives. I want to discover how they define their success. I want to be able to have a general idea of how i want to achieve my future goals. But most of all i want to build relationships that can go farther than roadtrip itself.

Taking the first step

Before making the first call my nerves began to tingle. Not because i was scared of rejection or of sounding silly but because this was all new to me. However, after thinking about it this was a lot like life in general. The first step is the hardest. Once the initial contact had been made the dialogue began to flow freely. I became much more relaxed and able to proceed with confidence. One trick i used to help me remember this was to just this of this call as one to a friend. At that point the pressure surrounding it simply left the atmosphere and i was able to clearly focus on the task at hand. The call went as well as i could have hoped for seeing as how my expectations were not to high. But that just goes to show you that good things can come out of any situation.
