My Manifesto

My Manifesto

My name is Marisol and I want to become a registered nurse. I want to get my bachelors degree in nursing and help as many people as I can. Before I decided on registered nurse I thought I wanted to become a veterinary technician but the pay and the over all job just weren't for me. Some noise would have to be the public around me but it doesn't affect me much. I just block it out. I pay no mind to the negativity because I see myself as my own person that can make my own decisions. My definition of success would have to be a happy comfortable life. I want to be satisfied with what I'm doing and I want to live without having to worry about bills and necessities.

Leader Interview

Julio Morales

EMS

Julio helps save peoples lives.

What type of route did this leader take?

  • It was straightforward

    "It was straightforward."

  • It was windy

"It took a while to figure out."

  • It was circuitous

    "I tried everything."

Leader's Work Life

Respond to emergency calls which most of the time are car accidents or accidents that happen at home. The ambulance "the rig" needs to be checked at the beginning of each shift with a checklist. Everything needs to be working properly and they need the right supplies along with the ambulance itself working properly and a full tank of gas.

Leader's Noise

Julio went through a lot in his life, especially at a young age. He had friends peer pressuring him to do drugs and he did them because life at home wasn't good. He started failing school and even got arrested and went to jail for 3 months.

Advice from my Leader

I remember some advice Julio gave was to just not give up on yourself. No matter how hard life gets just keep pushing and trying your hardest.

My Cold-Calls

My Cold-Calls

I learned to not be so nervous and its hard to get a hold of anybody that works in a hospital.

Before and After

…

Before my leader interview I thought I was the only one really going through struggles with my family and school life but now with Julio I realized things could be a lot worse and still turn out good.
