My Manifesto

My manifesto is to pick a career that helps people and to travel as much as I can. I am going to learn many different languages to be able to communicate with many wonderful people around the world.

Leader Interview

Takahashi, Craig

Engineering professor

My leader that I interviewed works at Santa Ana College. He teaches students engineering since he is an engineering professor who teaches his students to problem solve and to be creative.

What type of route did this leader take?

  • It was straightforward

    "It was straightforward."

  • It was windy

"It took a while to figure out."

  • It was circuitous

    "I tried everything."

Leader's Work Life

The average day at my leader's work is to sit in his office and teach his students. He also has to find ways to make his lessons reach out to his students. He also teaches his students to be creative and practice taking apart things and try to put it back together because he is an engineering professor.

Leader's Noise

My leader didn't have any noise but he did have to go through being self-taught because the teachers he had weren't very good at teaching.

Advice from my Leader

Some of the advice that my leader shared with me was to work on a career that helps people and to have a career that treats people respectfully. Another piece of advice that my leader shared with me was to learn something is by trying to teach it.

My Cold-Calls

My Cold-Calls

I think the most important thing that I learned from making my cold call was to be prepared by doing your research before you do the cold-call and to also have a semi-script of what you want to say.

Before and After

…

Before my Leader interview, I thought that in college that the professors would teach you everything you know to start a job in the engineering workplace but now I realize that the stuff you learn in college is a lot more different than actually having an engineering career.
