Leader's Noise

Scott had very bad feedback growing up. His father and mother wanted him to be something better than a French professor. They wanted him to be a doctor, lawyer, and other big careers. He didn't care what they had to say about his passion for French. At a very young age Scott was taught more than one language but when he was learning French he feel in love with language. At that point in his life he knew what he wanted to be and didn't let anyone take a way his happiness. Now he says he is very happy of his decisions.

Advice from my Leader

Like I said before Scott never let anyone take a way his happiness. He gave us really strong advice on how to stay strong when we get negative feedback for society. Scott said that when you find your passion never let anyone take it a way from you. His parents didn't support him on his career. He said that it hurt him but he did what he had to do to make his dream come true. Most importantly he said that to never give up and follow your dreams. It doesn't matter what other people say about you as long as your happy.

My Cold-Calls

My Cold-Calls

Cold calls are difficult to do because you are speaking to someone that you don't even know and can be very nerve racking. I didn't even get a respond of the leader that I wanted and that made very sad. I learned that not all time I will get a response and it is important to keep on trying and to never give up. I really wanted to interview another leader in my community but that wasn't possible. Luckily, my team and I deiced to keep on trying and to avoid giving up so, we contacted another another leader and he respond that he would love to do the interview.

Before and After

…

I thought that once I fail I will not be able to get back up but that is not true. My leader thought me that when I failure that is a step to success. Failure is basically the key to success. When I fail it will help me know what I messed up in. My leader explained to be that he has had rough times and wanted to give up but he didn't and he got right back up. I didn't believe that failure was a step to success but he explained that it is a step to success. I realized that failure is just a step to success.
