Leader Interview

Barry Dreger

Team Coach

Coach Barry coaches a hockey team.

What type of route did this leader take?

  • It was straightforward

    "It was straightforward."

  • It was windy

"It took a while to figure out."

  • It was circuitous

    "I tried everything."

Leader's Work Life

My coach is a family guy first. He takes his kids to school. Then he figures out his coaching plan. Watches previous games and studies it. Takes notes, so he can talk about it on the next team meeting.

Leader's Noise

As a coach, there's a lot of parents and kids putting pressure on him. Parents complaining about their kids not getting playing time. Why their kids not improving? He has to answer all those questions. Then there's the kids on his team. He coaches 17-18 yrs old, He treats them as young adults.

Advice from my Leader

Coach Barry gave me some good advice. He told me to work hard for what I want it will pay off later down the road. He also said, there maybe a day of set back, but never give up. Always be thankful for what I have and will be receiving.

My Cold-Calls

My Cold-Calls

First call, I should speak up and talk clearly. I learned that I should make a list of questions, cause I forgot a few of them, I din't get to ask. Be more excited.

Before and After

Before my leader interview I thought this would be easy cause it's my coach but now I realized it was tough. He did gave me a hard time cause he knows I'm not a talker.
